100 Steps Challenge - Mall

Nearby mall with a little Instagram touch

Recently there has been quite a buzz about the 100 Steps Challenge as a way to break out of creativity block. The challenge itself is very simple. As described by the original author Haje Jan Kamps, “Grab your camera, and start walking. Count your steps. After 100 steps, stop where you are, and where you’re standing, you have to take a photograph.” By forcing yourself to take a photograph every 100 steps, you are challenging yourself to observe see the things around you, find an interesting subject, look at it from a creative angle and capture it in a photograph. So today, I took this challenge with a little twist, taking the pictures with my iPhone using Instagram. Read through for the full set of photos and what I learnt from this challenge.

In this post I will be walking you through the steps to construct a pinhole camera using household items.
